What can I say.

Whoa... This is really well done, but... depressing xD

The only thing is the percussion. For me, the kick is just too Bassey and in my face, and the snare has too much sustained on it.
Your music theory and mixing are on point!

Heeey! This is pretty cool!

The only thing that it feels a bit too slow-moving for me. Meaning, the beginning parts are just a chord progression happening over and over again with no central melody. However, when the percussion comes in, it is super cool! I really can't say anything wrong with that part, the bell arp is super awesome.

Nice!

Wow, A step outside your box!

I really like the creative synth sounds used here - it is ... original and weird, which I like. The kick is super kewl.

FelixZophar responds:

Thanks! I went to a site called www.soundpacks.com and I got some 808 drum sample pack which I used. I also got a few other sample packs, like the 808 bass you heard in the beginning, and the synth you heard at the end.

*Worships you*

I'm a dubstep producer too.

So, this is really good. IMO it needs some basses on the higher end of the frequency spectrum.

What daw do you use?

Cool tune. This is clearly your forte lol

SpeTheof responds:

trueee, thanks man!

Feedback wanted?

Well, this is a really cool song.

To Keep doing:
I LOVE the aggressive kick in the beginning, and the melody is sick. The song is a good bpm.

To Fix:
Add a riser. They help a lot. The melody is too high an octave. This is ok, but maybe add a layer of the same melody underneath, an octave below. Oh, and the clap, in the beginning, doesn't quite fit- it may just be too loud.

Finally, I think that overall the melodic dubstep song is too much melodic and not enough dubstep. If you don't have a good synth for basses, In most people's opinions serum is the best bet, though its almost 200$. If you think it would be better to rent it, go to splice.com. They have an option to rent serum for 10$ per month for 1 months. After that, you own it.

May I ask what DAW you use?

SpeTheof responds:

Thanks for the suggestions, i use fl studio!

Super cool!

Depressing xD

I noticed that the guitar is a little off beat a little bit throughout the whole thing. Is this on purpose?

kynivoid responds:

No, it's not on purpose lol i'm just not great at keeping rhythm. I'm surprised you think it's the guitar that's off a bit though, since the drum beats were made in FL Studio and everything else was recorded in Audacity. So when it came time to match the perfect computer-generated drum tracks with the rest of the song, it became difficult to do without a little bit of editing to try and make the drums as arrhythmic as the rest of the instrumentals. So my guess is that may have thrown the whole song off-beat, but at that point there was nothing I could really do without scrapping the whole song and restarting, which I'm just too lazy to do.

I'm sorry if none of that made any sense, it's kinda hard to explain my process. A lot of my songs are thought up semi-on-the-spot. I'm trying to improve, though.

I'm glad you enjoyed it otherwise! :)

Nice tune! I like the little chirps.

Tip: what is "Ducker" in Auxy is called Sidechaining in every other DAW. So, if you want the ducker effect:

FelixZophar responds:

Okay, thanks!

Sorry to hear that man :(

MRM3 responds:
